No. RehabSeek is an independent directory that helps people find accredited addiction treatment, detox, and sober living options. We don't provide medical care, diagnosis, or treatment ourselves.

A listing carrying the Verified label has had its accreditation or licensure confirmed directly against a primary source — SAMHSA's treatment facility directory or the relevant state licensing board — not just claimed by the facility. Contact information and services offered are checked the same way, against the facility's actual licensed scope rather than its own marketing. Read the full verification methodology

No. Verification confirms accreditation, licensure, and contact accuracy — it isn't a clinical endorsement, a guarantee of outcomes, or a review of care quality. RehabSeek isn't a medical provider and doesn't evaluate treatment efficacy at individual facilities.

As of this writing, over 100 facilities across more than 30 states have been individually verified and are live, with more added as our team works through the rest. Where a state doesn't have a verified listing yet, the page says so directly rather than displaying placeholder or unverified providers — we'd rather show an honest "still verifying" notice than a listing we can't stand behind.

Once a listing is live, it displays a last-verified date, and accreditation/licensure status is re-checked on a recurring basis rather than only at the time the listing was first created.

Yes. A facility can request to claim its existing listing, report a correction, or ask to be added if it isn't listed yet, through our provider page. Claiming a listing doesn't change its verification status by itself — it gives the facility a way to flag corrections and stay informed about updates. Visit the provider page

Currently through display advertising (clearly labeled Google AdSense ads) and by following up directly ourselves when someone submits our Get Help Now form — that follow-up is handled by our own team, not sold as a paid referral to a third party. We're also building a program for treatment facilities to claim and manage their own listing (see "Can a facility claim its own listing?" below); an optional paid tier for enhanced profiles is planned but not yet live, and it will never change whether a facility is verified or how it ranks. No, and this won't change. The Verified badge is governed entirely by our verification methodology — accreditation and licensure checked against primary sources — not by whether a facility pays us anything. No facility can pay for better placement, a Verified badge, or more favorable coverage in our guides.

Not currently. RehabSeek does not have any active affiliate partnerships generating referral fees as of this writing. If that changes, any affiliate relationship will be disclosed clearly on the page where the link appears, not just buried on a policy page — and it will never be allowed to affect a facility's Verified status. Content goes through initial research by editorial staff, fact-checking against SAMHSA and CDC guidelines, and a final editorial approval step before publication. Guides display a last-reviewed date.

We're not currently naming specific clinical reviewers. If and when named, licensed reviewers are added to our process, they'll be listed with their real, verifiable credentials — not before.
